Sweet Harvest

Today is Labor Day. The end of summer.  Kind of.  You would never know it with the near 90 degree temperatures.

An official day off for those of us who are lucky enough to work someplace other than retail.
I work at a school so I was ecstatic to have the day off.  Yipee!!

I worked out in my shop almost all day long....no air conditioning.....very hot...
Hot muggy weather and a menopausal women do not go well together...
just sayin.....

I'm getting the shop ready for a Fall Open House in less than 2 weeks.

I cleaned and sweat and moved furniture and I do feel somewhat more organized.

In between sweating and cleaning I had to harvest my Sweet Annie.

Sweet Annie is a fragrant herb from the Artemisia family.  I use alot of it in my wreaths as filler and I absolutely LOVE the smell.

I ended up getting about 15 large bunches.

Then I had to find places to hang it to let it dry.
I could have put some of it in the barn but the birds have a way of marking their territory...

if you know what I mean....

So, I hung them in my shop all over the place.
It smells so FRAGRANT and FRESH!

I'll be busy.....
